Legal & privacy

1. The service

This page describes the PNG → WebM and MOV / ProRes (with alpha) → WebM conversion tools made available on this website (the “Service”), including transparent graphics for OBS Studio and other live-streaming software. The Service is provided free of charge for convenience. It is not a substitute for professional video, legal, or technical advice.

2. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.

3. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of this website and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service, including any damage resulting from files you upload or download.

4. Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you upload and the outputs you create. You represent that you have the right to use that content and that your use complies with applicable laws. Do not use the Service to process unlawful, infringing, or malicious material.

5. Privacy & data handling

Conversion runs on our servers. Uploaded files (ZIPs, optional audio) and generated WebM files exist only temporarily to perform the conversion and delivery. They are removed after successful download or after a time limit (typically on the order of tens of minutes if a job is abandoned or the server cleans up), whichever comes first, subject to how the deployment is configured.

We do not use your uploaded creative work to train machine-learning models. Standard server and network logs (for example IP address, timestamps, and error diagnostics) may be retained by hosting infrastructure as part of normal operations.

6. Open source & third-party software

The Service is built with open-source components. Their licenses permit use in this type of application; we are grateful to their authors. Notable dependencies include:

Video encoding may use FFmpeg, which is open-source software licensed under terms that depend on how FFmpeg was built and linked on the server. FFmpeg is a trademark of Fabrice Bellard, used here in a descriptive sense only; this project is not affiliated with or endorsed by the FFmpeg project.

Full license texts for the above packages are maintained by their respective publishers (for example in each project’s repository).

7. Intellectual property

Names, logos, and trademarks of third parties belong to their owners. The layout and original text of this site are protected by copyright where applicable.

8. Changes

We may update this page from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
